COLLISION is a cross-cultural music event founded by the three Higa siblings who currently reside in the US but were born and raised in Tokyo where they were exposed to various subcultures in Japan. Upon moving to the US, they discovered the absence of Japanese underground music and wanted to help expose this talent and creativity. After having attended many events in both the US and Japan, the Higa siblings joined forces to create their own event with a greater cultural purpose connecting the best of both worlds. Collision has since then evolved into a platform for music enthusiasts and artists alike to connect with one another and explore a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary experience with a mission entrenched in the US-Japan relationship. This mission is achieved through the curation of a lineup of Japanese and American artists and partnerships with brands with a similar purpose.
